Legions of Metal, listen up!

Those of you with Emma's fantastic term cards will notice "Trip to
Nottingham (TBC)" for Saturday, 2nd March 2002.

This trip is definitely going ahead. The intention, as posted up at the last
WUS, is to go to the True Metal Night, operating from 8pm-2am at the Old
Vic. This is six hours of True British and European Metal - that's trad,
thrash, doom, stoner, death, black, and Euro-metal - should be a fantastic
night out for anyone wanting an antidote to the flood of American nu-metal
that is flooding the scene at the moment.

That day, Nottingham is also hosting an inter-Rocksoc pub crawl, ending up
at Rock City, which we may start off with and split off from later on to
head to the Old Vic. There will be no objections to anyone who wants to stay
on for Rock City, but it will make meeting up harder, and barring an
unlikely change of plan, entry to the Old Vic will be included in the cost
of the package.

This trip should also cost no more than a fiver per head. If it costs more
than this you may hit me repeatedly over the head with a herring.

before the end of Wednesday, which will allow enough time to book transport
this week. I will book a coach if there are more than 35 people interested,
otherwise there will be a minibus. In either case, places will be allocated
on a first-to-pay-first-on-the-trip basis, so once the transport is booked,
send me your hard-earned, hard-scrounged or hard-stolen cash.
