Copied from facebook: "So, after the TBA launch night, a path forwards has emerged... so the next TBA night has been rebranded and restructured accordingly. ...TBA now shall be known as 'Black Hole Sun' Next night, due to prior commitments, now will be last Saturday (25th) Sept, and then running bi-monthly on last Friday of the month, to go monthly if sufficient interest. Music - modern / commercial release metal from 1990 onwards... I-Od is the place for classic and shall remain as such and continue to run on 1st Friday in its present format. ... basically, if Interstellar Overdrive is Classic Rock Magazine, then this one equates to Metal Hammer... Guest DJs are already being booked from Cambridge and beyond --- once again PLEASE give us your input / feedback / requests on what you would like / not like at the night in question... and invite a friend or two if possible!" |

The annual RockSoc Freshers' gig brings you... ECHOES FALL! Metal/Deathcore greatness with a tint of bands such as Parkway Drive and As I Lay Dying. ECHOES FALL ARE PLAYING BLOODSTOCK on the NEW BLOOD STAGE on Sat. 11.45am! AWAKE! Awake return as part of their TENTH ANNIVERSARY TOUR! This means that they will be playing some old songs, some new song, and some songs inbetween. For those that have seen these guys before, you know how good they are, and for those that haven't, they really are as good as everyone says they are and they come highly recommended. If you need some quick band references: Evergrey, Dream Theater, Pagans Mind and other great Prog and straight-up Metal acts! Having just come back from seeing them at the Haymakers, I can definitely say that somehow these guys have gotten even better since the last time we put them on in February. Amazing stuff from start to finish and well deserving of the headline slot. SUBJECT 7! An awesome mixture of old and new school Metal such as Dio, Testament and Killswitch Engage!
