Rocksoc extreme gig

at The Portland Arms

Basement Torture Killings:
Crazed serial killers playing the most sickeningly disturbed death metal out there. Having already carved a name for themselves in London and elsewhere, they are now bringing their murder machine to Cambridge…

The police will never find the bodies!

Depraved Plague:
The finest extreme export from Cambridge! Their latest disc is the perfect example of brutality and somehow, it's even more so live. One of the best bands I've seen in recent times, and they definitely rise above the large majority of bands playing this style. Besides, they feature an ex-RockSoc President!

http://youtu.be/u7G8ank65qE

Malignant Germ Infestation:
Some of you may have seen these guys before. Some would say they are an acquired taste, but I say they are out and out awesome. They've already released multiple albums and I believe a few splits which are all mandatory listening! They even have a couple of high-budget music videos, the poser rockstars!

http://youtu.be/4ZDpK3vfl8s

Party Cannon:
Who the fuck drives to Cambridge all the way from Dunfermline? Party Cannon, that's who. Surely that's reason enough to see them? Ok, fine. I would give you another one, but because I love you all, I'll give you two instead, in the form of two words that form the perfect combination.

Party. Slam.

Angel Underground: Angel Underground meld the classic rock armoury of Gibson, Marshall and Rickenbacker into their own, original ‘anti-style’ rock sound. AU draw on diverse influences across rock, punk and goth music, including the MC5, Stooges, Danzig and Social Distortion. Eloquent lyrics with a social message or personal story to tell, pull you into the undertow of their surging rock.

Freak Barn Accident: Freak Barn Accident are a five-piece, guitar based, garage band from the Republic of South Cambridgeshire. We like 60's groups, punk, American alternative rock, and most stuff that normal freaks like. FBA play cool and fast, and also hot and slow.
