MINUTES

24/01/00

 

The meeting was called to order at 2045. All

were present except Jinx, probably doing something baby-related.

1. "Unilever Club Challenge" postcard.

The Secretary showed the rest of the committee

the aforementioned item. It offered up to £5000 to any society with

a good idea how to spend it. It was suggested that we could ask for money

to get Iron Maiden to play at the Corn Exchange. People laughed, Oli got

confused and we moved on.

 

2. F&F late licence.

Since Jinx was absent, this was left until next

week.

 

3. Trip to LA.

Since Jinx was absent, this was also left until

next week.

 

4. Minutes.

The WUS Officer asked why the Secretary was taking

"a week and a half" to get the minutes out. The Secretary replied that

he was busy, and the WUS Officer then said: "Roz, leave him alone.". La

Presidenta got involved with: "Typical male chauvinist pig blaming the

woman.", and then said ". it now looks like 'cunt'." as she saw the abbreviated

form that the Secretary had written down.

 

5. Website.

La Presidenta again promised to keep it updated.

Iain said that we would be: "Coming for Kit with Oli's big metal pole."

if it were not. It was agreed that non-email members would be able to get

access to the website to look at the AGM nominations, should they want

to make a postal vote.

 

6. AOB.

Iain will organise the gig soon. Katherine said:

The meeting was closed at 2054. We then realised

that we had forgotten about the Clare Rock Night. As far as the WUS Officer

knew it was going ahead, although he had not had any direct confirmation.

It was agreed that he should get confirmation ASAP and then post the information

to r/s-official. It is also to be publicised on the website.
