MINUTES

13/03/00

 

The time that the meeting started and also who

attended are sadly lost from Oli's memory. Perhaps the latter will be obvious

from what follows, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

1. Lending the decks to the F&F.

It was pointed out that this was against what

had been agreed at the EGM. It was decided however that as they were in

effect lending us their PA for the FTOTMs, it was a fair deal. Also, we

were on good terms with the new bar staff and wanted that to continue.

 

2. Holiday running of Rocksoc.

Iain and Jinx will do it as usual. Stamps, envelopes,

membership cards, the purple pen and (the new) membership book will be

given to Iain shortly.

 

3. Kit

La Presidenta was discovered to be alive and well.

 

4. May Brawl

Some sort of 'all day mini festival' was proposed,

with a dozen or so bands in a couple of rooms along with a chill-out/TV

room. APU was suggested as a possible venue with approximately 750 capacity.

Non-students would be welcome and other Rocksocs invited. It would be "better

and more organised than Brumfest" and also "the biggest thing that Rocksoc

has organised".

Although at the moment it was Iain & Dave

& Tom's masterplan, it was said that "if it all comes together there

will be more than enough work for everyone". More next term...

 

5. FTOTMs

April - no, May - yes. Iain will book it and ensure

it is publicised at the

preceding WUS.

 

The meeting was closed at 2111. No more minute

taking for Oli. Ever.
