Meeting of the Rocksoc Committee Meeting
21 November 2002
Present: Baz, Oli, Oliver, Ben, Emma
Apologies: Elizabeth (Minutes taken by Oliver, written up by Emma)
It should be noted at this point that while Baz was present in body, he
was mostly absent in spirit. Two Bottles of wine and some creme de cassis,
to be precise. He declared the meeting open at 20.56.
1) The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
2) Treasurer's Report
No outgoings this week
£164 was paid in from WUS
Total = £1182.60
Oliver declared that no more than £400 was to be pissed up the wall at the
forthcoming gig. Next week will tell. Geared4 are still owed £80 from the
last gig they played for us. It was suggested that paying them at some
point would be good.
ACTION: Oliver, who has been practicing his cheque writing, to ensure
Geared4 get paid this time
ACTION: Emma not to waste too much money on this gig.
3) Friday's gig.
It was agreed that this was tomorrow (22nd). We have
agreed to pay the bands the following: Gore - £30 travel expenses plus
beer and food A.R. - £40 plus beer and food Geared4 - £50 plus travel plus
beer and food
Beer and food to be organised by Emma, with help from Siobhan who is once
again being an utter star.
4) Forthcoming gigs
: We have 15th February and 8th March booked. Emma had
nothing to report concerning booking bands as Baz forgot to send her the
contact details.
ACTION: Emma to contact Criminal and Demon re the 8th March
ACTION: Baz to send Emma the details so she can do the above.
ACTION: Baz to contact EviscerateAD re the 15th Feb.
5) Webshite
Set-lists are now uploaded and up-to-date. Baz claimed this
was not the case. Oli assured all that it was the case and suggested Baz
refresh the browser on his computer. Baz looked perplexed.
More WUS details to be added on to the site.
Tea-shop crawl quotes have been uploaded.
The CD Library and the auctioning thereof is ongoing. "Ongoing" is now the
acceptable minuting alternative to "Ha bloody Ha". In general, the
Webshite is basically fine.
6) WUS
WUS is doing pretty well at the moment. It was agreed that the WUS
email should be sent twice, once on the Calling Tuesday (or the day after)
and once on the WUS Tuesday. It was also agreed that there should be the
usual publicity push at the start of next term, and people should be
reminded that there is no WUS on December 31st, and the first one of next
term will be the 14th January.
ACTION: Emma to update the flyer and print some.
ACTION: Ben to send the WUS email at the appointed times.

also known as the point at which it all falls apart...Oliver's
notes at this point replicated in full. It should be noted that while this
was being scribbled, we were actually planning the Xmas Quiz.

committee meeting.

"I never wanted to be a committee member - i always wanted to be a
lumberjack, leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers
of British Columbia. etc etc.
"The Meeting then devolved into personal abuse. It was undecided who was
fatter - Ben Joyce or Jimmer. Baz definitely thinks Ben and is willing to
rant forever to prove it.
"Ben - 12 1/2 Stone (and playing in a College Footy match on Saturday)
Oli - 8 1/2 Stone (bastard)
Emma - 9 stone (including boots)

Oliver - 9 3/4 stone (spent some time bewailing the fact that he was the
second heaviest committee member present)

his not yet having hit adolescence).
