the balance is about £1300

The results from the livejournal survey, and the paper one handed out at WUS were added up.

4. Gigs

Baz is organising a gig at the Portland, with Gong and another small band or two at the beginning of next term. Rocksoc will bankroll and publicise this, but Baz to do the rest.
The May Brawl will be at the end of next term, at the Man on the Moon. Richard will get a date ASAP, and then we can find bands. Possibly have Intense headlining.

Action: Baz to bring date and details of his gig to next meeting. Richard to contact MotM about dates.

5. Events

Trinity SU have expressed an interest in hosting an event next term. This will be students only.
Room/porter charges will come to about £90, and there may be a £60 charge for hire of the sound system, although that may be waived. There will also be a £200 deposit, but that will only get cashed if we break things. There will also be punting and picnicing on the weekend after
term ends.

Action: Keith to follow up, say that we're interested and get a date.

6. Publicity.

Term cards - these will have WUS, the two gigs, the Trinity event, Punting and the Picnic. Keith has sent 4 pairs of free WUS tickets, and some posters and flyers to Hills Road 6th form college for their "Safer Clubbing" Campaign. On that note, it might be worth getting in touch with Long Road, CRC and APU about advertising there. Keith has emailed Metal Hammer & Kerrapp about advertising costs, and WUS is now listed in Varsity for the next couple of months.
Richard suggested that early next year it might be worth inviting some of the free listing magazines to come and review WUS.

Action: Elise to /actually/ bring a calendar to the next meeting, Keith to investigate advertising in Long Road and CRC, and bring costs for the magazines, Baz to get in touch with his contacts at APU.

7. WUS.
Susi has agreed to do a couple of door slots tomorrow, Richard is opening up. Either Baz or Richard will close, depending on who actually makes it to the end of the night. Richard will bring flyers for the minions, which could do with being distributed to outlying villages where possible. Richard has a list of potential DJs, so he will produce a rota for as far in advance as possible.

Action: Richard to make flyers and write DJ rota.

8. Report

Due to technical problems, Elise didn't have any survey results. She will get Giolla to sort out said problems and report back to -committee with so basic figures asap. We could do with input from current members as well, so next term the survey can be slightly altered and sent out
to official.

Action: Elise to get results and write modified survey.

9. Adoration & abhorations.

The committee adores:
Hot sausages, Liz in skimpy chainmail, Keith, Miserable country music,
and Babylon 5.
