RockSoc Minutes 29/01/07

Meeting Opened: 20:56

Committee Members present: Simon, Keith, Nick B, Nick J, Gemma

WUS & ALT-EASTER

1. Nick J needs to pay in money as he now has the ALT-XMAS profit.

2. ALT-EASTER - no-one knows if it is booked. The plan is to resurrect the Alt-event mailing list and ask Haydon

what is happening.

3. Publicity - need to sort this with John S as he does it with the Calling flyers. Still need to organise new

artwork. Mounia and Jen are happy to do it but they're short on time therefore Simon is going to use Doree's

explosion for this time round.

4. Nick J still needs to organise the street team using facebook and Livejournal.

5. Nick J or Simon to change Chris Smowton's set title to Classic Rock & Metal.

GIGS

5. Extreme Noise Terror are no longer headlining. Keith is sorting a replacement - looking to get Amputated but if

not them, Evile.

6. Need to do publicity. We must be getting slack as the Man on the Moon actually asked Keith for flyers!

AGM

7. Gemma to send out termcards as we now know gig dates even if not headliners. Use Keith's gig text from his e-

mail.

8. Need to send out call for nominations. Mention that if you want to stand for a position, definitely start to get

involved (come to pub meets, talk to the current committee etc.).

9. Date is now confirmed for the A.G.M. - The Castle, Monday 12th March at 7:30p.m.

10. Positions and people wanting to stand:

Secretary - Fiona
Webthing - John Barrett
President - Mark Taylor
Treasurer - "Fresher" Ben

Still need soneone to stand for Wussifer and Events Officer which are the two main positions apart from President.

EVENTS

11. Camden & the Tea Shop Crawl can be organised in the week before so nothing to do now.

12. All bands that get in contact with Keith do so through events AT rocksoc therefore handover should go smoothly.

13. Simon has Wychweed photos and needs to upload them.

FINANCIAL

14. Action: Nick B to do a financial report for the AGM - basically funds in and out. Aim to be better than

Oliver's report last year which was basically, "Last year we had money. This year we have less money."

15. Expense receipts given to Nick B for the Criminal and Mael Mordha gigs and the quiz prizes.

16. Events box is in good financial shape (has roughly £180).

Meeting declared closed after being shot repeatedly with garlic filled hollow point silver bullets. There were no

survivors to note the time.
