MINUTES

24/05/99

 

The meeting was finally called to order at 2058

BST. Only three committee members were present (Jinx: on honeymoon, Iain:

at beerfest, Baz: no idea), rendering the meeting unquorate. This rather

scuppered Alex’s plan to vote on a motion to the effect that: "Iain buys

us all drinks until there is a rain of blood and cats start making love

to dogs".

1. Ozzfest II.

There has been only a very small response from

members regarding tickets and/or transport for this event. The ticket company

is still unproven. More next week.

 

2. May Brawl

The Locomotive seems like our last hope and is

still a possibility. It will be investigated further in the near future.

APU bar was again proposed as an alternative location. There was some discussion

as to having it at the Q-Club but it was dismissed (again) as being too

small. Once again, in the absence of a confirmed venue no flyers can yet

be produced.

 

3. Mailing lists.

DD was once more slated for not coming up with

the goods. La presidenta assured us that she would again pester him about

it. When it was suggested that if he turned up later on we should (with

the help of Mr Longden) get him up against the wall and find out what was

going on, she gave shrieks of delight. As she leant over to read this being

written down, a big smile spread over her face. Alex then said that we

should "have him shot".

 

4. AOB.

Progress on the PWF website:

None yet.

Photographs were taken by La Presidenta of the

Secretary and the Web Warlock*.

Kit should wear a dress to WUS tomorrow:

"Maybe."

 

 

The meeting was closed at 2112 BST.

Saturday June 12th for the 1999 May Brawl.
