Present: Baz, Jimmer, Liz, Oli and Roz. Gina had sent her apologies (foggy

weather) and Andy was ill. The meeting was commenced at 2107.

 

1/ THE NEW POSTERS

 

It was agreed that they are very nice, being big and red. The total cost

for 1000 cut flyers and 50 posters was £22.36. It was agreed to take the

new posters to as many colleges as possible. As Jimmer was understandably

unwilling to cycle round the whole lot again, the posters were divided

between the present committee members. The breakdown was as follows:

 

Liz - Girton, Robinson, Wolfson Court, Fitzwilliam, New Hall, Newnham, the

Sedgewick site, Selwyn, the Lucy Cavendish and Darwin.

Oli - Corpus Christi.

Roz - Trinity Hall, Trinity, Magdalene, John's, Queen's, Claire, Pembroke,

Peterhouse, King's, the New Museums site and the Arts School.

Baz - Christ's, Emma, Jesus, Downing, the Downing site, Sidney Sussex,

Caius.

Jimmer - Homerton, APU (2 posters) and some other weird places that we've

forgotten.

 

The rest of the posters are to be given to Andy for putting up at the Q

Club. It was agreed that the flyers are to be handed out or left at the Q

Club, the Alma, the Boat Race and maybe at Parrot Records (although

concerns were raised at the 'student' nature of the gig).

 

2/ OTHER FLYERS

 

We need 300 updated WUS flyers for the AGM mailshot. It was thought that

it would be useful if these were double-sided and had details of The Hell

Hole on the other side. New dates and prices also need to be added. We

also need 300 info flyers for the mailshot - Jimmer agreed to try and

modify the current Powerslave flyers, remove FTOTM (if that's still on

there) and add details about Thursday Nights at the Alma and the Hell

Hole. Baz is to ask HMV whether they will put up posters for us.

 

3/ AGM

 

This is now likely to be held at King's, probably on a Wednesday or Friday

in the first week of March. This is because they seem to be amenable to

the presence of alcohol and non-students. This will probably be confirmed

tomorrow and Baz will e-mail announce on Wednesday giving

details. Nominations will have to be sent to Baz a week before the AGM and

postal / e-mail votes will have to have been received on the night

before. Manifestos will be forwarded to official by Baz.

 

4/ WEBSITE

 

The website is allegedly now up-to-date and amazing. However, the minutes

are not yet up-to-date and the accounts need to be added. Baz is to e-mail

Roz with all of the minutes that he has on record so she can write a nice

list and tick them off.

 

5/ COMMITTEE CURRY

 

This is likely to occur this weekend, possibly on the Sunday, and maybe in

the Curry King.

 

6/ WHERE ISANDY?

 

Baz rang Andy and discovered that he was ill. However, he agreed to do the

new WUS flyers, confirmed that Marillion will be bringing their own

support, and that Bedouin had not yet got back to either him or Jon.

 

7/ GOTHS

 

Apparently the goths do not know what is going on in the world of

Rocksoc. It was briefly discussed whether official announcements should be

sent to the CamGoth addresses as well, and Liz agreed to speak to Patrick

about what he thought.
