Minutes: 2001-2002/2001-04-26

Subject: MINUTES 26/4/2001

 

 

Present: Andy, Andy, Mary, Elisabeth, Liz, Baz, and Roz. Emma was away in

Whitby. The meeting started at about 9.30.

 

1/ CD Cataloguing.

Most of this has already been done by Iain and the list is on the website,

but it still needs to be brought up to date and checked. It was suggested

that we loan some of the CDs to the Alma so they can be put in the jukebox

and actually get listened to.

 

2/ Events.

 

The May Brawl hasn't been organised yet, but people listed several bands

who might be willing to play. These include Dark Cell, Bitch Fodder, Gilla

Brujah, Enchanted, Vae Solis, Violation & Horn Dog.

 

There may be an all day event for mostly local bands, possibly with someone

more well known headlining, if we can find a venue. Someone needs to go

round to possible places, including colleges, and find out whether they're

interested and what they'd charge.

 

3/ Advertising

 

Although WUS usually reaches close to capacity, the Hell Hole and other

events are often under-attended. someone suggested flyering outside other

rock gigs as well as places like the alternative clothing sale and Parrot

Records. Andy then told us a very funny story about his trip to New York,

but I'm not going to type it out, so you should all ask him about it.

 

4/ Bedoin gig. 18th of May.

 

This has now been organised, and flyers are being made up, but we need

volunteers to distribuite them.

 

5/ Website

 

It needs bringing up to date, and according to Andy the blue text is too

dark to read against the black, but Mary is sorting this out now.

 

6/ EGM

 

And EGM to elect a Token Fogey and vote on changes to the constitution

which weren't decided at the AGM will be held in the Alma on the 14th of

June. A mailshot will be sent out shortly.
