Subject: MINUTES OF ROCKSOC COMMITTEE MEETING 31/5/05
 
 
Present: Andy, Andy, Emma, Elise, Oli. Meeting started at 9.00
 
1/ Freshers' Gig
Andy has spoken to Tom from APU, and he's quite keen for us to use either
the bar, or possibly the canteen(depending on expected numbers) as a venue
for this event.
 
2/ The secretary let slip that she once went to Cindy's on the night of
her interview, and everyone laughed at her and then forced her to put it
in the minutes.
 
3/ Picnic & Punting
This has been changed to Sunday the 17th, because the 16th clashed with a
gig. It'll cost a quid towards punt hire (tickets from AndyM) and there
will be many glowsticks.
 
4/ Other events.
In addition to whatever we organise gigwise, there might be a rocksoc Xmas
dinner towards the end of next term, and some sort of awards ceremony to
provide ample opportunity to laugh at people.
 
5/ Fresher's gig (Part II)
Tom from APU arrived about now, and discussion returned to the gig. It's
probably going to be the weekend after the first WUS, so most of the
freshers' week events will be over, but people shouldn't have started
working too hard to come along.
 
6/ Next Tuesday
The secretary reminded people several times that her exams finish on
Tuesday, so people must buy her drinks at WUS and help her endeavours to
get drunk and celebrate.
