MINUTES OF ROCKSOC COMMITTEE MEETING 4/2/02

 

Meeting opened at 8.55

 

Present: AndyM, AndyH, Elise

 

1. WUS Opening Night.

Turnout was good - estimated at around 200. After comments/complains

about drinks prices, AndyH will talk to the club owners about putting on

other promotions. The sound system isn't ideal, but will certainly do for

now, and possibly when we're more established there we can suggest/request

improvements. One possible minor problems is that the venue will close

occasionally when the owners are on holiday, but we should have advance

warning of this, so can try to organise alternative events.

 

2. Nottingham trip

Taff's licence only covers 17 seaters, so if there's more demand, a coach

with driver will be booked instead. Elise will try & find out which coach

company were used for the 1999 Brumfest trip.

 

3. May Brawl

Orange Goblin are returning to the UK on 3/6/02, so might be persuaded to

play an extra date here. Hangnail are keen to play. AndyM will contact

the Junction about free dates around the beginning of June.
