Some of these are late again. Apologies once more. You can all look
forward to next year, when things might be on time more than once in a
blue moon...

MINUTES OF ROCKSOC COMMITTEE MEETING 12/3/02

Meeting opened at 8.45

Present: AndyM, AndyH, Elise, Emma, Tristan,

1. AGM
The agenda was outlined. It was agreed not to vote whether or not to have
the 'Token Brat' post as no-one had stood for it. It was also agreed that
although the deadline for nominations has passed, people wishing to stand
for uncontested posts will still be permitted to submit manifestos. It
was commented several times that this may well be the shortest AGM in the
history of rocksoc.

2. Interlude for CCUSA.
The meeting now paused for a presentation by CCUSA who attempted to
persuade members of rocksoc that they should go and work with children in
American summer camps. The fools. (if anyone wants further information
on this, go to their website at www.ccusa.com)

3. Gig on the 30th
The line up for this gig will be D-void, followed by Rome Burns, with
Revcounter headlining. AndyM will get in touch with listings magazines
and produce some fliers.

4. May Brawl
The Junction still haven't got back to Andy to confirm for the 13th, so he
will go in tomorrow with a cheque, which should speed things up. As soon
as they've confirmed Jimmer will start contacting bands.

Meeting closed at 9.35

MINUTES OF ROCKSOC COMMITTEE MEETING 18/2/02

Meeting opened at 8.50

Present: AndyM, Elise, Emma, Tristan,

1. AGM
The mailshot has gone out by post, and will be sent to -official tomorrow.
The room will cost £50. We'll bring the decks with us, and there will be
music once the meeting has finished.

2. Nottingham True Metal Night
18 people have expressed an interest so far, so a minibus should be
enough. AndyM will be driving, and will book the bus tomorrow from East
Anglia Van Rentals. The pub crawl will be starting at 3.00, but is
timetabled, so we can join it when we arrive, or not bother depending on
what people want on the day. There'll be a charge of £4, which will
include entrance to the True Metal Night as well as transport.

3. Wasp Factory Gig, 9th March at the Boat Race.
The bands are Chaos Engine, Swarf and Psychophile.
Doors will open at 19.30. Pyscophile will start at 20.00 and play a 30
minute set. Swarf will start at 20.45 and play a 45 minute set. Chaos
engine will start at 21.45 and play a 60 minute set. Bands need to arrive
at the Boat Race at 17.00.
Wasp Factory will be paid £500 for the three bands, by official,
double-signed, cheque.
Tickets will be £5 adv, £6 on the door, with a discount to £2.50/£3.50 for
rocksoc members.
A selection of sandwiches, (vegetarian & non-vegetarian), bottled water
and beer will be provided for the bands.
The bands will have use of the house light & sound engineers
Rocksoc is not liable for any damage to equipment or persons.

4. May Brawl.
Of the dates offered by the Junction, Thursday 13th June was the only
really suitable one, so AndyM will book this asap. Once this has been
confirmed, Jimmer can get in touch with Orange Goblin and Hangnail.
There'd probably be 4 bands in total, with Kill2This being suggested as a
possible third band.

5. More Gigs.
The Boat Race is booked for the 30th of March. A possible billing would
be Vae Solis, Humanity & Projekt - these bands to be contacted. At some
point Rome Burns & Attrition should play, perhaps together.

6. CD Cataloging.
This still hasn't been done, as mandated. Emma volunteered to do this,
but needs to get the CD collection from AndyH

7. rocksoc.org.uk
The domain name needs renewing. Tristan is to contact the hosting company
and find out how to do so and how much it costs.
