Meeting started: 8:45pm.

Any other business.
1). Minutes:
Action: Catherine to check with Emma as to whether Stamping Ground have confirmed or refused to play the November gig.
2). Treasurer's report:
May Brawl:
Made a loss of £100 (not bad), and have obtained a corkscrew (even better).
£41.50 door money has been paid into the account.
Fresher's Fair:
Have heard nothing yet from the organizers of the Fresher's fair.
Action: Richard to get in touch with an actual person at CUSU.
CUSU have officially been put into our black book of bad, bad people.
3). WUS:
No WUS on the 17th June because the Kambar was rented to the fair people, (can I say "gypo's"?).
Kambar are now also in our book of very bad people.
C.C's: Being taken over by new management
Action: Richard is to get in touch with the new management once they are settled, to discuss restarting FKA.
DJing:
The time slots are going to be rearranged to include five, structured, one hourly sets: 9-10 crazy stuff (specialist); 10-11 cool, classic, rock; 11-12 CRAP (commercial rock and punk); 12-1 more cool, classic rock; finishing the night off with more crazy stuff.
Play list:
Richard wants to put play lists onto the website in advance for promo-nights, so that listeners will know what and when the relevant tracks are playing.
Flyering:
Those willing to distribute our flyers at other events can get into WUS for free.
Cross faders:
Still not working, but the Kambar don't seem to care anymore, which means we wont be billed, but we will have to put up with the dodgy decks for a while yet.
New URL:
We have a new address, but this is not up and running yet.
4). Fresher's week (week beginning 13th October):
Action: Elizabeth is to e-mail Richard with the little information she has regarding the Hommerton event, so that Richard can retrieve the e-mail from his computer.
Pub-crawl:
Action: Elizabeth to organize the enormous event.
It will start at 6pm.
We will provide a mobile contact number, for those wanting to join en-route.
Finish off at the Alma, to show the newcomers where we meet. We must remember to loose Baz before this.
Squash:
We propose to organize an introductory party for the fresher's in a college hall, with the intention of enforcing that this is a society for the students.
Action: Katie to make some enquiries.
We will provide booze
Need to publicize it well to the APU students.
5). Mailing lists:
We must not cross post.
-Official is for us to post official RockSoc information/events to members.
-Announce is for us to post all no-official info/events.
Easy really...apart from the minutes part.
Mailing list convergence:
Action: Elizabeth is to e-mail those who are on the -announce list, who are not on the -official list, to inform them, that they are not receiving any official information. Elizabeth will tell them that they are being added to the -official list, unless they request otherwise.
6). Festivals:
Oli has offered to purchase coach tickets for Bloodstock, for those who want them.
Action: Oli to put all festival dates and details onto the website.
Flights are booked for Wacken.
7). Swimming:
This will be held every Monday at 6pm?
Action: Oli post this onto -announce.
8). A.O.B.:
Apologies from Oli and Elizabeth for next weeks meeting.
Pool: needs to be re-advertised and posted onto -announce regularly.
Action: Richard to e-mail Griggsy...blah-blah, far too intelligible computer gibberish.
Action: Richard to produce an easily readable poster.
Meeting ended: 9.35pm.
Recommendations:
Kick Back
Krimson
Robert Plant
Iron Maiden
Queensryche.
