Minutes of committee meeting, 26/04/04

Meeting opened at 8.50pm

Present: Richard, Baz, Keith, Elise, Oli. (I think, although I forgot to write it down, so
someone may have been missing.

1. Minutes of previous meeting
Minutes haven't been typed up yet, due to Secretary being in Whitby.

Action: Elise to get last weeks minutes typed up.

2. Treasurers report.
Balance same as last week. We owe Andy Davies £30 for flyers. The mandate has been
handed in, but need Keith & Elise to go in with some proof of identity/address before it
can be processed.

Action: Keith, Elise & Baz to meet outside HSBC at 1.00 on Wednesday to do this.

3. Events.
Gig on the 30th: No real change from last week. There may be a third band, The Rapture, if
they want to play for beer.
May Brawl: Intense confirmed, and are going to send T-shirts etc. so we can promote them at WUS.
Kickback haven't been heard from, but Emma has their phone number. Richard to chase. This gig
will probably be priced at £5/£6/£7
Trinity event: Keith brought draft flyers. Some slight changes suggested, which he is to make,
then print and distribute.

Action: Richard to chase Kickback. Keith to get flyers printed.

4. WUS dates
The Kambar staff are on holiday for two weeks in June, so the WUS on the 18th will be
cancelled. They didn't mention this to us, so Baz or Richard to speak to them, and ask us to
try and give us more advance warning in future. We'll stick a poster on the door that night
relocating to a pub somewhere. Correct dates have now been added to the CUSU website, and Baz
has spoken to their radio station, so we'll hopefully get some advertising there.

Action: Baz/Richard to speak to Kambar staff.

5. AOB
Minutes need updating on the website. Termcards were sent out at the beginning of term, but
it was suggested that next term they should have times and prices, as well as adding the Calling
and the pub meets.

Action: Oli to update minutes, Elise to remember changes for the next set of termcards.

6. Adoration & abhorration
The committee adores:
Oxo, Whitby, Iron Maiden, Fopp, and getting paid.
The committee abhors:
Sobriety, averaging 4 hours sleep a night for 5 days, Perforce, animal rights activists, and hippies

Meeting closed at some unrecorded time.
