Minutes: general/2005-agm
Rocksoc AGM 4th March 2004.
===========================
Meeting held upstairs at the Castle Inn, Castle Hill.
Meeting started approx 8:45
Present: Richard, Elise, Baz, Oli, Keith
Agenda:
1. Presidential Speech
2. Elections
3. Any other business.
1. Richard thanked everyone for coming to the AGM. This year has been successful, with growth in membership, and more students starting to get involved in the society. WUS has continued, despite the lack of a WUS officer, and generally makes a profit. We've put on several gigs, and helped organise some trips to festivals. We started holding rock nights in Trinity, which proved very successful. We also had the usual summer events of punting, picnicking and tea shop crawling, as well as the Fresher's week pub crawl. Despite all this, we have yet again failed to lose any money, and the bank balance is up on last year.
2. Elections
President/WUS Officer: Oliver, nominated by Elise, seconded by Richard.
Oliver has been part of rocksoc for years, and has been on the committee before. He's always at WUS, and is sure that he can make it work. He's going to put a lot of effort into increasing publicity and getting more punters through the door, and will stick to the policy of letting anyone dj.
